STEM Without Borders- Global Impact
Through international collaborations and mentoring, TinkerLab brings robotics and digital literacy to underprivileged students worldwide — proving that education should have no boundaries.
In 2024, TinkerLab partnered with the Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) to deliver an online mentoring program for students in Pakistan. Through weekly Zoom sessions, we introduced underprivileged students — many from backgrounds of severe poverty — to the world of robotics, coding, and digital literacy. For many of these children, education at SAF’s charity-funded schools is their only pathway to opportunity, as others in their communities are often forced into child labour. Some had never even experienced WiFi or used a computer before.
This program highlighted just how transformative access to digital tools and mentorship can be. Advocating for digital literacy is more important than ever, as it is the foundation for future opportunities and empowerment.

Our founder, Daniya Syed, also serves as the Australian Youth Ambassador for the Shahid Afridi Foundation. Through this role, she is committed to creating a global impact by showing that quality education and STEM opportunities should never be limited to privilege, location, or circumstance.
